Position Overview

The Associate Vice Provost for Strategic Enrollment Management (AVPEM) provides executive leadership for the University’s comprehensive enrollment strategy, overseeing recruitment, financial aid, and student onboarding through degree completion. The AVPSEM is responsible for achieving institutional enrollment goals through data-informed planning, integrated operations, and collaboration with Academic Affairs and institutional leadership. This position leads a coordinated enrollment enterprise and drives initiatives to improve student access, persistence, and completion.

The AVPSEM reports to the Provost and serves as a key advisor on enrollment strategy and institutional priorities.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

An 1890 Land Grant University, North Carolina A & T State University enjoys a long-standing national reputation in learning, discovery, and engagement. Minimum Requirements
  • Master’s degree in higher education administration, student personnel, or a related field.
  • Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible senior-level administrative experience in enrollment management or student services within higher education.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic enrollment planning, including recruitment, financial aid coordination, and retention initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop teams in a complex organizational environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience using data to inform decision-making and assess outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage different stakeholders.
