The Department of Counseling invites applications for Part-Time Instructors for Spring 2026 or Summer 2026. Part-Time Instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach Counseling courses.
The successful candidate is expected to teach introductory and advanced level courses by the Department of Counseling. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: teach face-to-face and/or online, attend training and/or review sessions. Additional duties will include, but are not limited to: academic advising of students, supporting student organizations, participating in program development and assessment. The candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and university.

The Department of Counseling is designed to prepare motivated students to work in counseling or counseling related roles in a variety of employment settings. Counseling is a professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families, and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, education, and career goals.
Our student body consists of recent college graduates, mid-life career changers, and late career individuals seeking professional growth. This eclectic student body enhances the educational experience and also provides an excellent foundation for learning. In addition, the Counseling faculty are experienced, established members of the counseling community and are active in many educational, professional, and community leadership roles.

Minimum RequirementsAn earned doctoral degree in Counselor Education & Supervision, or closely related field from a CACREP accredited institution.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, EducationMinimum 1-3 years teaching experience at the University or Community College level.
