Part-Time Instructor – Liberal Studies (Fall 2026)
The Department of Liberal Studies invites applications for Part-Time Instructors for Fall 2026. Part-Time Instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach courses in liberal studies. Courses include: “Introduction to Liberal Studies,” “African American Studies,” “Introduction to Race, Class, and Culture;” Philosophy courses such as “Introductory Logic,” “World Religions,” and introductory courses in Spanish and French.
The successful candidate is expected to teach introductory and advanced level courses by the Department of Liberal Studies.
Responsibilities- Teach face-to-face and/or online courses.
- Attend training and/or review sessions.
- Academic advising of students.
- Supporting student organizations.
- Participating in program development and assessment.
- Work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and university.
This is a non-permanent, temporary position.
Minimum Requirements- To teach Philosophy courses candidates must have a Master’s degree in Philosophy at time of application.
- To teach Liberal Studies courses the candidates must have a Master’s degree in Liberal Studies or a related field at time of application.
- To teach Spanish and French courses, candidates must have a Master’s degree or higher in Spanish and French at the time of application.
Candidates with 1-3 years teaching experience in subject area are preferred.
