Position OverviewThe Department of Built Environment invites applications forPart-Time Instructors for Spring 2026. Part-Time Instructors are temporary employees hired on a semester-by-semester basis. The Part-Time Instructor will teach courses for the Construction Management program.
The successful candidate is expected to teach introductory and advanced level courses for the Construction Management program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: teachface-to-face and/or online, attend training and/or review sessions.
Additional duties will include, but are not limited to, academic advising, student organization support, participation in program development and assessment. The candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and university.
The Department of Built Environment supports over 175 undergraduate majors in the programs of Construction Management, Environmental Health and Safety and, Geomatics. The courses taught in the Geomatics program area are at the undergraduate level and include
Automated Surveying and Mapping, Residential Subdivision Design,Geodesy and Satellite Positioning.

Minimum RequirementsMaster’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering,Architectural Engineering or related discipline is required.
2 to 3 years of professional experience in architecture,engineering, and construction industries is required.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training,EducationPh.D. in a related academic area is preferred.
Previous teaching experience in face-to-face or online environments in higher education settings is a plus.
Required License or CertificationProfessional licensure in related disciplines will be a plus.
