GSL Education Newcastle Branch are currently looking for a dependable Cover Supervisor to work with a school in Hartlepool
. This is an opportunity to provide effective classroom supervision, maintain positive behaviour and ensure students continue with their learning when their regular teacher is unavailable.

• Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by teaching staff.
• Help students understand the work and complete assigned activities.
• Maintain positive classroom routines and expectations.
• Manage behaviour calmly and consistently.
• Encourage students to remain engaged with their learning.
• Communicate relevant classroom information to teaching staff.

• Previous experience supporting children or young people as a Cover Supervisor (CS) is desirable.
• Experience in education, tutoring, youth work or a similar setting would be beneficial.
• Confident group and behaviour management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in different classroom situations.
• You need to be Reliable, organised and punctual for the Cover Supervisor role.
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
