Part-Time Instructor | Criminal Justice

Job Overview

Part‑time instructors (Fall 2026) at the Department of Criminal Justice, College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, North Carolina A&T State University will be hired semester‑by‑semester to teach Criminal Justice courses.

• Teach introductory and advanced criminal justice courses, including criminology and research methods.
• Deliver instruction in face‑to‑face and/or online settings.
• Attend training and review sessions as required.
• Provide academic advising to criminal justice students and organizations.
• Participate in program development and assessment.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff within the department and across the university.

• Hold a J.D. or a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Criminal Justice, Criminal Justice Administration, Criminology, Political Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching diverse student populations.
• Two years of experience teaching Criminal Justice and/or Crime Scene Investigation courses, with evidence of active knowledge.
• Strong teaching skills and ability to design and deliver curriculum in varied formats.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
