The Department of Criminal Justice at North Carolina Agriculturaland Technical State University seeks a full-time non-tenure tracklecturer, to teach in-person and online courses. This is afull-time, 9-month Lecturer / Teaching Assistant Professor. This person teaches four courses per semester. Classes will be assigned as needed by the Department Chair. Additional duties include, butare not limited to, student groups and academic advising and careermentoring, serving on departmental/college and university committees (i.e., representing the department at New Student Orientations).

The Department of Criminal Justice is housed within the College ofArts, Humanities and Social Sciences. It offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Criminal Justice with aCertificate in Crime Scene Investigation, a Master of Science and aPh.D. with four areas of specialization:
Digital Forensics,Investigative Science, Social Justice, and Research Methods. The Department has over 550 majors.

The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences houses the Departments of Criminal Justice, English, History and Political Science, Journalism and Mass Communication, Liberal Studies, and Visual and Performing Arts. CAHSS is an academic unit that reportsto the Office of the Provost/Division of Academic Affairs andenrolls more than 2,000 students and has more than 160 full-time faculty members.

Master’s degree with professional experience in the discipline for appointment as a lecturer.

PhD with professional experience in the discipline for appointmentas a Teaching Assistant Professor.

At least five years of teaching and professional experience is preferred with proven skills in the discipline.

This position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies. N.C.A&T employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
