Position Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer serves as a key leader in maintaining and continuously improving the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS). This role is primarily responsibilities are to lead and manage the organization’s CAP (Corrective Action/Preventative Action) system, including screening, tracking, and closing non-conformance reports and facilitate root cause analysis, develop action plans, track progress, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

The ideal candidate excels in QMS oversight, procedure management, process optimization, and cross‑functional collaboration within highly regulated environments.

Citizenship Requirement

This position requires access to nuclear facilities and information governed by U.S. federal regulations. As a result, applicants must be U.S. citizens to meet eligibility and security clearance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Corrective Action Program (CAP) by ensuring procedural alignment, documentation accuracy, and effective implementation of CAP activities.
  • Perform or support root cause analysis
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor program health and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead or support multidisciplinary teams in the deployment and maintenance of quality software tools, electronic document systems, and process automation solutions.
  • Facilitate Management Review Board and Lead Screening Committees.
  • Train employees on Corrective action reporting, process and tools
  • Evaluate existing procedures for clarity, effectiveness, and compliance, lead simplification and optimization initiatives.
  • Verify the effectiveness and sustainability of implemented corrective actions to ensure issues do not recur.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, licensing, and project teams to ensure requirements are fully integrated into controlled documents and remain current throughout the lifecycle of the QMS.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external partners on Corrective Action, procedure governance, and requirements traceability.
  • Lead and participate in internal and external audits, assessments, and surveillances to verify compliance with QMS and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports on program performance and trends for senior management and committee meetings
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management Systems, and procedure governance within nuclear, engineering, or highly regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, quality standards, and document control practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex documentation systems, lead process improvements, and influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, report preparation, and strong communication skills .
