Windchill Solution Architect

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Windchill PLM Solution Architect. This role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams to assess, design, implement, and maintain PLM solutions that align with business goals. This is a hybrid role.

• Design, develop, and implement Windchill architecture solutions, including Thingworx / Navigate solutions tailored to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Conduct system analysis and performance tuning to ensure optimal functionality of Windchill applications and integrations. Ensure the Windchill environment is scalable, secure and performs optimally.
• Design customizations and extensions that meet requirements.
• Collaborate with developers to achieve technical and functional goals.
• Responsible for developing solutions around Change Objects, Parts, Documents, BOM Structures, Effectivity, Integrations to other systems including Microsoft D356.
• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and upgrade existing Windchill instances and supporting software.
• Integrate CAD tools with Windchill and support Windchill workgroup manager integrations.
• Migrate data from legacy systems into Windchill environment.
• Create innovative approaches to solve problems and meet business needs.
• Propose high‑level PLM solution design to improve and/or optimize existing product development processes.
• Independently install, customize, and integrate software solutions.

• Significant firsthand experience (5+ years) with PTC Windchill, Windchill API, Windchill Customization and Java/JSP.
• Proficiency in defining data models, workflows, system architecture, and integrations.
• Expert knowledge of PTC's Windchill 12 (or later versions).
• Proven experience as a Windchill Developer.
