What You’ll Do- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes for large modular assemblies and identify improvement opportunities
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives as directed, to improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, and labor efficiency
- Research, evaluate, and engage vendors and equipment suppliers to support manufacturing improvements
- Provide day‑to‑day manufacturing engineering support, troubleshoot production issues, and support new product introductions
- Support factory layout optimization, material flow improvements, and labor efficiency initiatives
- Develop detailed ROI and business case proposals for capital expenditures, including cost‑benefit analysis and payback calculations
- Research, evaluate, and contact vendors and equipment suppliers to identify new manufacturing solutions
- Coordinate equipment demonstrations, trials, and feasibility studies
- Provide day‑to‑day manufacturing engineering support to production teams
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to fabrication, assembly, piping, electrical integration, and testing
- Support the introduction of new products, designs, or module configurations into manufacturing
- Support quality initiatives, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process capability improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering (or related field), or equivalent experience.
- 3–7+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
- Proven experience evaluating manufacturing processes and leading improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to develop ROI‑based business cases for capital and process improvements. Experience working with vendors and equipment suppliers
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency with manufacturing documentation and standard work development
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, production‑focused environment
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement tools
- Experience with welding, piping, mechanical assembly, electrical integration, and system testing (preferred)
This is a Permanent position based out of Greensboro, NC.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
