Primary Function of Organizational Unit
North Carolina A & T State University is a public land grant high research activity institution that is committed to dedicated teaching and learning, scholarly and creative research, and effective engagement and public service. The University enrolls over 14,000 students.
The College of Engineering, with over 2,500 students, has EAC ABET accredited undergraduate programs in Architectural, Bio-, Biological, Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering, as well as a CAC ABET-accredited program in Computer Science. On the Graduate level, the College has 8 Masters of Science Degree programs, and 5 Doctoral programs. The 5 research cluster areas of the College of Engineering (COE) are Autonomous Systems, Cybersecurity and Resilience, Energy and Sustainability, Healthcare Applications and Complex Systems and Networks.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering's accredited programs provide students the opportunity to pursue careers that are integral to our modern everyday lives, providing skills to advance society and creating possibilities for business development around the globe. The four programs are a BS in electrical engineering, a BS in computer engineering, a MS in electrical engineering, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering.
Our outstanding faculty continue to explore new avenues to transfer engineering skills while pursuing research opportunities to expand their knowledge of practical applications of electrical and computer engineering concepts. Together, the faculty, staff and students have built a reputation for sound engineering practices and significant contributions in industry, government and the private sector. Minimum Requirements
Teaching Assistant Professor:
Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering or closely-related discipline.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education Required License or Certification Is this position eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies. On-site (Employees are primarily in the office and/or have a critical job requirement that requires dedicated office space on-site)
