Lead High-Impact Projects Across Growing Industries

A well-established and expanding civil/structural engineering firm is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer Project Manager to oversee critical design projects in the commercial and industrial sectors. This is a long-term opportunity with strong growth potential—ideal for engineers who are ready to take ownership of diverse, high-value projects and help drive success for both clients and internal teams.

Our client supports a range of technically complex buildings, including pharmaceutical facilities, data centers, health science buildings, and industrial manufacturing sites. They recently expanded their capabilities through a strategic merger, and are actively building out their PM bench to meet increased project demand.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead structural design projects from proposal through construction completion
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Coordinate closely with clients, internal teams, architects, and consultants
  • Provide technical oversight and design reviews to ensure code compliance and quality
  • Mentor engineers and drafters, assign tasks, and guide development
  • Maintain proactive, professional communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Oversee financial performance, including invoicing and budget tracking
  • Conduct periodic site visits and ensure quality control
  • Assist with proposals and help grow business through client engagement
Who We’re Looking For

Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • 7+ years of experience as a structural engineer, with a focus on commercial or industrial buildings
  • Solid project management and client‑facing experience
  • Strong working knowledge of building codes, materials, and structural systems
  • Clear and confident communication and leadership skills
Preferred:
  • PE license (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
  • Background in pharma, data centers, life sciences, mission‑critical, or industrial facilities
Please Note

We are not considering candidates with backgrounds focused on bridges, towers, residential, or mixed‑use projects.

Why This Role?
  • Join a stable, growth‑oriented firm with a diverse project pipeline
  • Get exposure to cutting‑edge facilities in high‑demand sectors
  • Enjoy work‑life balance with minimal travel and remote flexibility
  • Be part of a collaborative team that values innovation and leadership
  • Competitive salary, full benefits, and long‑term opportunity
