Position: Engineering Tech I
With over 70 years of operating experience, Primoris Power Solutions services include engineering and design, installation and maintenance, material and equipment procurement, repair of electrical transmission, distribution, substation, wireless communication, and storm restoration. Our experience ranges from small engineering and consulting projects to multi-million-dollar turn-key distribution, substation, and transmission line programs.

The Engineering Tech I is an entry-level position with the purpose of using basic technical and design acumen in safe, reliable and value-added manner in utility construction projects, while supporting the Power Distribution Engineering team. The incumbent is required to demonstrate a basic understanding of a customer(s) design, workflow, safety and standard operating procedures.

• Perform detailed design and budgetary estimates.
• Accurately perform engineering calculations to assure safety and performance of equipment and systems.
• Promote efficient flow of information and ensure complete and accurate record keeping.
• Monitor work to ensure compliance with applicable engineering and construction codes.
• Responsible for distribution design and engineering in client's GIS and work management systems (WMS) as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
