Today's aircraft contribute around 4% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase:
Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.
Jet Zero is developing a blended-wing body (BWB) aircraft. It uses up to 50% less fuel and will be built to accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. Jet Zero is the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel.

What You'll Do:
Jet Zero is in growth mode. As a Senior Structures Analysis Engineer you will be responsible for analyzing and verifying the structural integrity of the aircraft.
- Conceptualize, size, and analyze new structure and potential repairs to safely and effectively carry load adhering to spatial and regulatory requirements
- Conduct trade studies across multiple variables and clearly present results and recommendations
- Perform static analysis using textbook hand calculation methods, including classical laminate theory
- Generate, review, and query loads/stresses as appropriate from finite element models ranging from aircraft scale to detailed component scale
- Author, review, and/or approve:
- Engineering strength and analysis reports
- Structural analysis engineering processes and manuals
- Enterprise tools adhering to Jet Zero analysis policy/procedure
- Work with various company departments to ensure integrated structural designs meet all system and aircraft-level requirements.
- Develop and coordinate Building Block test program
- Conduct test programs as necessary to validate that structures architecture meet all requirements
- Generate, review, and/or approve:
- Structural test plans and reports
- Compliance documentation

Compensation:
Our compensation package is a blend of base salary and equity options for eligible employees. The range for this role is $,000. We consider a number of factors when presenting a final offer, including geography, internal equity and years of experience and expertise.
