Public Communications Specialist-College of Engineering

Description

The primary purpose of this position is to expand the College of Engineering's capacity to communicate its mission, research and impact through strategic, high-quality storytelling and content creation.

This role will plan, write and produce a wide range of materials, including feature stories, news releases, social media campaigns, and multimedia content, that showcase the achievements of faculty, students and alumni.

By enhancing the college's presence across digital and traditional platforms, the position will play a key role in strengthening brand identity, increasing public engagement, and supporting recruitment, fundraising and partnership efforts.

The College of Engineering, with over 2,500 students, has EAC ABET-accredited undergraduate programs in Architectural, Bioengineering, Biological, Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering, as well as a CAC ABET-accredited program in Computer Science. • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
