Job Overview
This contract is a 5‑day onsite position in Greensboro, NC. No remote applicants and no relocation assistance will be provided.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and validate configurations on routers and switches to identify potential vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
- Modify, clean up, and optimize network configurations to align with security best practices.
- Implement and enhance network segmentation strategies to reduce risk exposure across environments.
- Design, configure, and maintain Access Control Lists (ACLs) for internal and external traffic flow.
- Work closely with ISPs to validate secure configurations and ensure safe interconnectivity.
- Evaluate the impact of proposed network changes and provide risk‑based recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and remediate vulnerabilities related to routing, switching, and connectivity.
- Design and implement secure routing and switching solutions across enterprise networks.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent application of security standards.
- 8+ years of Cisco Network Engineering experience in enterprise environments with CCNP certification.
- 7+ years of experience working with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), network technologies (VLANs, VPNs, NAT, ACLs), and CLI‑based configuration and troubleshooting.
- 7+ years of experience in network segmentation, vulnerability remediation, infrastructure security risks and mitigation strategies.
- Experience designing and implementing secure traffic routing across internal and external networks.
- Experience working directly with Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
Contract position based out of Greensboro, NC with a 5‑day onsite requirement.
Compensation and BenefitsPay range: $45.00–$67.00 per hour.
