Hunters' client are looking for a Test, Service & Installation Engineer to join their growing team in Storrington.
Engineer- Test, Service, Installation
– The Role
- Test, service and install specialist superconducting magnets at the company's facility and customer sites worldwide
- Carry out testing including vacuum leak testing, calibration, equipment set-up, energising and shimming
- Read technical drawings, use power and hand tools, and troubleshoot technical issues
- Work closely with design, project engineering, production, purchasing and quality teams
- Provide technical feedback, support root cause investigations and help improve product reliability and serviceability
- Test, Service, Installation – The Fit
- Technically minded with experience in an engineering, electronics, physics, or similar environment
- Able to read and understand technical drawings and discuss technical information confidently
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable working independently, as part of a team, and directly with customers
- Willing and able to travel internationally, potentially for up to three weeks at a time
A degree or qualification in Engineering, Physics or Electronics would be advantageous but is not essential.
Experience with high-field magnets, cryogenics, cryocoolers, high vacuum, compressed gases, or previous international field service work would be highly desirable, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
