Job DescriptionSummary
- Design and modify mechanical components used in fuel dispensers.
- Support value engineering efforts focused on reducing product costs.
- Work on structural components including frames, brackets, sheet metal, fasteners, and plastic parts.
- Support hydraulic and fluid handling systems including pumps, valves, meters, piping, and related components.
- Create and implement engineering changes through ECNs.
- Develop and test prototypes.
- Partner with manufacturing, procurement, and operations teams to implement design changes into production.
- Troubleshoot issues originating from both the manufacturing floor and field installations.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Designing new mechanical components and assemblies.
- Reviewing legacy designs for cost reduction opportunities.
- Updating Creo models and engineering documentation.
- Working through ECNs and design revisions.
- Investigating manufacturing or field issues.
- Collaborating with testing labs on validation activities.
- Coordinating with procurement and operations to release changes into production.
- Supporting cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Required
- Mechanical Engineering background.
- Creo CAD experience.
- 3-5+ years of relevant design engineering experience.
Highly Preferred
- Windchill experience.
- Product design experience.
- Experience with sheet metal, structural components, plastics, and mechanical assemblies.
- Manufacturing support and engineering change management experience.
