Mechanical Design Engineer
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience in product design, development, and implementation. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Pro/ENGINEER (Creo) solid modeling and experience with manufacturing-oriented mechanical design.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement mechanical products and components.
- Create detailed 3D solid models and mechanical designs using Pro/ENGINEER (Creo).
- Develop and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD as needed.
- Support Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to improve product cost, quality, and performance.
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to mechanical designs.
- Perform and support FMEA, DOE, and Root Cause Analysis activities.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to develop production-ready designs.
- Design components for various manufacturing processes, including machining, injection molding, casting, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability, reliability, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of design and manufacturing issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and product development initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical/product design, development, and implementation.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Strong Pro/ENGINEER (Creo) solid modeling experience.
- Experience with mechanical product design and development.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and design principles.
- Experience with VAVE projects.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- FMEA, DOE, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Machining processes.
- Injection molding design.
- Casting design.
- Sheet metal design.
- Knowledge of circuit board layout design.
