We are seeking a Machine Safety Engineer to support safety compliance, Safety PLC validation, machine safety audits, and safety system improvements within a manufacturing environment. This position will focus on reviewing Safety PLC logic, validating safety circuitry, conducting compliance audits, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to OSHA, ISO 13849, and ANSI B11 standards.

Key Responsibilities- Review and validate Safety PLC logic and electrical schematics for compliance with safety standards.
- Perform safety circuit verification and validation to ensure systems operate as designed.
- Audit Safety Control Systems (SCS) for compliance with ISO 13849 and ANSI B11 requirements.
- Identify and document safety-related non-conformities.
- Design and implement corrective actions to resolve safety issues.
- Modify and improve Safety PLC programs and safety circuitry as needed.
- Conduct spot audits and ensure adherence to safety requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis and support remediation efforts.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate and oversee third-party validation vendors from a technical perspective.
- Communicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and implementation support.
- Mentor and support internal teams on machine safety and functional safety topics.
- 5+ years of experience in Functional Safety Engineering (7-10+ years preferred).
- Strong hands-on experience with Safety PLC systems and programming
. - Proven experience in safety circuit design, review, verification, and validation
. - Experience conducting safety audits and compliance assessments.
- Strong understanding of:
- ISO 13849-1
- ANSI B11
- OSHA requirements
- Experience implementing corrective actions and risk mitigation measures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environments.
