Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the month-end close process. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organization's financial stability and success.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

- Manage accounts receivable processes, including collections and invoicing.

- Oversee accounts payable operations by processing payments and reconciling vendor accounts.

- Perform detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and budget planning.

- Reconcile the general ledger to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.

- Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

- Handle corporate and sales tax filings while adhering to regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and maintain compliance.

- Monitor financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

- Support audits and provide documentation as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax and sales tax preparation.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger and journal entry processes.

- Ability to prepare and review corporate tax returns.

- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures.

- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively with team members.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
