Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. As part of this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of payments from both commercial and consumer clients. Your expertise in credit and billing processes will be essential in maintaining financial accuracy and fostering positive client relationships.

Responsibilities:

- Handle collections for both commercial and consumer accounts, ensuring payments are received within established time frames.

- Monitor and manage accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records.

- Communicate effectively with clients to resolve billing discrepancies and negotiate payment arrangements.

- Analyze customer credit histories to determine appropriate collection strategies.

- Implement and refine collection processes to optimize efficiency and reduce outstanding balances.

- Prepare detailed reports on collection activities and account statuses for internal review.

- Collaborate with internal departments to address and resolve payment issues.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations regarding credit and collections.

- Maintain attentive and courteous interactions with clients to foster positive business relationships. Requirements - Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.

- Strong understanding of credit and billing collection processes.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to analyze financial data and develop effective collection strategies.

- Proficiency in managing accounts receivable systems and software.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to collections.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
