Financial Manager, VP/Director of Finance
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) is seeking its next Director of Financial Planning and Budgets
. As a key leader within the Division of Finance and Administration, the Director reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance and provides strategic leadership for the University's budget development, financial planning, forecasting, and analytical functions. Working across the University, the Director will help align financial resources with institutional priorities and support UNCG's long-term financial sustainability.
- Lead annual, multi-year, and long-range financial planning and budgeting.
- Oversee financial forecasting, modeling, scenario analysis, dashboards, and reporting.
- Provide leadership for strategic resource allocation, budget administration, and financial performance monitoring.
- Support budget policies, processes, and reporting in alignment with University, UNC System, and state requirements.
- Lead the financial planning and budget team and collaborate with senior leaders and partners across the University.
Candidates must have a master's degree and five or more years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least one to two years of supervisory experience and five or more years of relevant experience.
The ideal candidate will also bring experience in a complex operational environment, preferably in university or community college budget and financial administration. Experience with in North Carolina public higher education and proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Banner by Ellucian, are highly desirable.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary range is $150,000-$165,000, commensurate with education and experience
