Position: ED CNA/Nurse Tech - Greensboro - Multiple Vacancies

We have various shifts and schedules available for the Emergency Departments located at:

  • Drawbridge Med Center (PRN 12hr Days & Nights)
  • Wesley Long Hospital (PRN 12hr Days & Nights or Part Time Nights 7p-7a)
  • Moses Cone Hospital (FT Nights 7p-7a or FT Days 7a-7p)

** We currently do not have weekend only opportunities

Responsibilities
  • Supports patients with daily living tasks, including meals, personal care, and progressive mobility in order to support the recovery and plan of care.
  • Assesses patients' quality of life related to nutrition, hydration, and elimination in order to distribute resources and anticipate patient needs.
  • Admits, transfers, and discharges patients in order to move them to the appropriate locations in line with the plan of care.
  • Assists with clinical procedures, including monitoring blood glucose, recording vital signs, obtaining EKG's, applying restraints, and attending to elimination needs to provide comfortable care for patients.
  • Helps to maintain unit inventories of supplies and medical equipment in order to ensure a clean and safe environment in adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals.
  • Checks that fall-risk patients have the appropriate arm bands, socks, and signage to ensure physical safety. Helps document all clinical procedures, patient interactions, and medication use to maintain a detailed patient history.
  • Responds promptly to delegation from registered nurse staff and shares patient observations to ensure efficient collaboration.
  • Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Required:

    High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required:

    Nurse Aide Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR
  • BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
