Description Of WorkReporting to the Environmental Services Supervisor II at the Healthcare Complex at a multi-custody male correctional facility, this position is responsible for the general cleaning and minor maintenance through the facility. Work is performed under limited supervision, guided by a daily schedule for general assignments and specific instruction for special assignments. Other duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Minimizing infestation, promoting/teaching sanitary conditions including cleanliness, removal of harmful organisms, and promoting healthy surroundings.
- Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and for keeping a record of tools for tool control inventory purposes.
- Being available for 8-hour work shifts with some weekend rotations to be discussed at time of interview.
(Salary Range: $31,200 - $46,991)

Management Preferences
- Documented experience environmental service tech/housekeeping in an institution, healthcare, or industrial/commercial setting.
- Documented experience using cleaning solutions and products.
- Documented experience with housekeeping/cleaning tools and equipment.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. The selected candidate may be selected to work any shift and will work weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 staff coverage.

Central Prison Healthcare Complex
Central Prison Healthcare Complex (CPHC) is located on the campus of Central Prison in Raleigh, NC. Central Prison itself serves as the admission point into prison for adult male felons sentenced to 20 years or more and houses special populations, including death row and safe keepers.
The primary purpose of CPHC is to provide inpatient treatment for patients using evidenced-based medical practices, therapy programs, surgical services, post-operative care, etc. that will enable the offender patients to be returned to their home facility as quickly as possible. CPHC is the main medical and mental health center for male offenders in the state.
