Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Overseeing MRI department operations:
Ensuring that MRI procedures are carried out safely and efficiently. - Training and supervising staff:
Ensuring that MRI Technologists perform scans correctly and safely. Perform, assist and train with biopsy procedures. - Maintaining MRI equipment:
Ensuring that all MRI equipment is functioning properly and in compliance with safety standards. - Oversees radiation exposure compliance program
- Facilitate the patient experience by greeting patients, explaining pre- and post-procedure instructions, and verifying patients’ identities. Utilize AIDET Principles in all patient and provider encounters. Provide quality care and to ensure the safety of patients and teammates.
- Accurately and consistently performs ACR weekly QA to ensure equipment is working efficiently and to keep us compliant in maintaining our accreditation.
- Perform MRI exams using proper protocols and positioning techniques, transporting patients safely, verifying accuracy of orders and documenting patient information.
- Document the patient’s exam through data entry, report retrieval, scanning and recording the exam details in the electronic medical record system.
- Conduct environmental and safety procedures, including cleaning and sterilizing the exam room and equipment.
- Manage or assist in checking all the implants to verify patient safety.
- Manage student techs, schedules, and communication with instructors.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge and licensure through educational workshops, professional publications and societies.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and counseling on department staff as required. Follow the company's progressive discipline processes.
- Reports and documents on all teammate injuries according to established policy and procedure.
- Determine staffing plans that promote the most effective use of all teammates; ensure coverage during teammate absences. Cover lunches and provide float coverage as needed. Supervise technological staff.
- Ensures equipment and supplies are maintained to provide quality care and to ensure the safety of patients and teammates. Identifies and plans prompt corrective action for any issues with safety or equipment and systems. Report system outages and coordinate repairs or service.
- Responsible for ensuring QC programs are run in a timely manner.
- Build and implement radiology protocols.
- Support budgetary and resource management efforts, including scheduling, supply management, and staffing efficiency.
- Promote a culture of safety, patient-centered care, and service excellence.
- Act as a resource for complex clinical situations and elevate issues to leadership when appropriate.
- Participate in optimization of imaging protocols; research studies
- Coordinate with other departments to provide seamless care
- Participation research study(ies). Any clinical or administrative duty required by the study protocol, which is provided during the course of a patient's treatment, is considered an essential duty of the job.

Education: Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Radiology or related field. Graduate of an accredited program in Radiology, MRI. ARRT board-certified (MR), MRSO Certified (highly preferred)
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a clinical setting is required. Experience in clinical management highly preferred. Experience would typically include strategic planning, budget management, and team leadership in a healthcare environment. Managerial experience, coordinating teams of imaging technologists, overseeing quality assurance, and liaising with medical staff and administrators. Experience with 1.5T and 3T Siemens magnet
Knowledge and Skills- Strong background in healthcare management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of patient care.

- Consistently model AIDET principles, service excellence, and service recovery.
- Consistently demonstrate commitment to safe practices while abiding by all OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
- Efficiently manage a team of healthcare professionals and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices to ensure the site is compliant with all regulatory standards.
