Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in open heart operating room experience required.
License:
Valid nursing license required.
Certifications:
ACLS and BLS required.
Must-Have:
- Experience with ECMO, LVAD, and Impella devices.
- Scrub experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with CABG, mitral, tricuspid, and aortic valve procedures.
- Experience with thoracic cases and robotic-assisted surgeries.
- Ability to respond to on-call requirements within 30 minutes.
Description:
Responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in an open heart operating room setting.
Must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to strict attendance policies.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of EKG interpretation and are required to take a Pass/Fail EKG exam.
Experience with Epic charting system is required.
Candidates will be expected to assist with chest tube insertion/removal, manage surgical wounds, and care for patients on ventricular assist devices.
Daily responsibilities may include circulating and scrubbing for various cardiac procedures.
Participation in a comprehensive onboarding process will be required prior to starting the role.
Additional responsibilities include assessing patient needs, ensuring safety and comfort during procedures, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
