Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Every other weekend schedule with holidays as needed

• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends

• Float required when census is down across all Cone Health facilities

• 48 hours of orientation provided

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted

• BLS certification required

• EPIC charting system experience required

• Must pass EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)

• Previous charge RN experience preferred

• ACLS and NIHSS certifications required

• Care for observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, palliative/end of life/hospice patients, psychiatric observation, diabetes patients, and surgical patients

• Skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts and maintenance, chest tube management, wound care, PICC line management, and various other medical-surgical nursing competencies

• 30-bed unit with daily census of 16 patients

• Adult and geriatric patient population

• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences

• Compliance deadline is 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date

• 50-mile local radius restriction applies

The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes EPIC charting system throughout their network of campuses.
