- Prepare and cook menu items according to Double Tree by Hilton recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and special events.
- Set up, stock, and maintain workstations for line cooking, buffet preparation, banquet cooking, etc.
- Ensure consistent food quality by checking ingredients for freshness, taste, temperature, and presentation.
- Follow Hilton, Double Tree, and local health department sanitation and food safety regulations. Work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and management to maintain smooth service, especially during high-volume periods like conferences or weddings.
- Assist in receiving, rotating, and properly storing inventory and supplies. Help with monthly inventories when needed.
- Occasionally interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and accommodate special requests.
- Properly use and clean kitchen equipment, report maintenance issues promptly to keep operations safe and efficient.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service (preferred)
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Ability to interact professionally with guests and address their needs
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to prepare and handle food safely
- Willingness to work collaboratively with coworkers
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks or guest demands
- Flexibility to work weekends & holidays
