Front Desk Manager (Administrative)

The award winning Grandover Resort & Spa - Wyndham Grand Hotel is currently seeking an outgoing, professional, and energetic Front Desk Agent.

Work Hours:

7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Weekends and Holidays required.

Job Description
  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards, and meeting expectations of the customers daily.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
  • Supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.
  • Ensure that regular ongoing communication is happening with employees to create awareness of business objectives and communicate expectations, recognize performance and produce desired results.
  • Supervise and manage employees and understand employee positions well enough to perform duties in employee's absence.
  • Supervise all areas of the front office in the absence of front office manager or the other manager.
  • Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints.
  • Train staff and monitor adherence to all credit policies and procedures to reduce bad debts and rebates.
  • Supervise same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and control property occupancy.
  • Bring issues concerning employee satisfaction to the attention of the department manager and human resources.
  • Supervise daily front desk shift operations and ensure compliance with all policies, standards and procedures.
  • Assist as needed in the interviewing and hiring of employee team members with the appropriate skills.
  • Participate in employee progressive discipline procedures.
  • Inform and update the executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Perform all duties at the front desk as necessary.
  • Run front desk shifts when necessary.
