Payroll Clerk

Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Greensboro, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will handle payroll processes efficiently while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while working with payroll for mid-sized teams.

Responsibilities:

- Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Manage full-cycle payroll operations, from data entry to final reporting.

- Oversee payroll for teams ranging from 101 to 500 employees.

- Handle garnishments and other payroll-related deductions with precision.

- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.

- Update and maintain payroll records accurately.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.

- Generate payroll reports and provide insights to management.

- Assist in audits and reviews related to payroll processes. Requirements

- Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.

- Familiarity with full-cycle payroll operations.

- Ability to manage payroll for mid-sized teams (500 - 600 employees).

- Proficiency in handling garnishments and other deductions.

- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and departments.

- Proficiency in payroll software and systems
