Key Responsibilities
- HRIS Operations and Payroll:
Support payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now, including pay cycles, garnishments, deductions, and year‑end reporting. - HRIS Operations and Payroll:
Administer employee documentation and compliance reporting, including I‑9, E‑Verify, EEO‑1, W‑2, 1095‑C, WOTC, PCORI, and workers’ compensation and unemployment tracking. - HRIS Operations and Payroll:
Manage and handle some onboarding and offboarding of employees with another team member and maintaining employee records. - HRIS Operations and Payroll:
Handle time system reporting and audits, PTO analysis and tracking. - HRIS Operations and Payroll:
Manage unemployment claims and unemployment hearings.
- Employee benefits administration, including health insurance programs, disability, FMLA and related compliance (HIPAA, ACA, etc.).
- Manage open enrollment, health insurance communications, and benefit-related reporting.
- Prepare headcount, payroll, and compliance reports for internal leadership and external agencies (e.g., auditors, insurers, regulators).
- Perform payroll metrics, audits, and administrative reporting to support operations and HR decision‑making.
- Maintain accurate HR records, policies, and onboarding/offboarding processes, ensuring compliance.
- Supervise and support a small front‑office team responsible for weekly payroll processing, day‑to‑day compliance, and routine auditing and operational administrative tasks.
- Provide training, guidance, and quality control to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate on HR and operation needs with leadership to streamline workflows, improve data integrity, and enhance cross‑functional reporting.
- 3+ years of experience in HR, payroll, or HRIS administration, operations or related administrative role.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HCM/payroll platforms.
- Experience administering employee benefits, including FMLA, disability, HIPAA/ACA compliance, and health insurance administration.
- Solid knowledge of HR compliance and administration.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, garnishments, deductions and compliance.
- Familiarity with I‑9, E‑Verify, EEO‑1, W‑2, 1095‑C, WOTC, PCORI, and workers’ compensation audits. Knowledge of employment regulations and compliance.
- Experience handling unemployment claims and participating in unemployment hearings.
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel, data entry, recordkeeping, and HR and operations reporting & data analysis. CRM/ATS system experience is helpful.
- Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
- Leadership ability and coaching skills to support a small front‑office team.
- Aptitude for learning and adapting new technology.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience in HR administration, operations, or a related administrative role.
- Proficient with spreadsheets and reporting.
