Overview
Amentum - Fort Bragg, NC – Expert Geospatial Information Systems Administrator to support USSOCOM. A successful Expert GIS Administrator shall perform advanced level planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise level GIS associated geospatial databases, network equipment, and software tools and applications.
Responsibilities- Plan, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise GIS databases, geospatial data and related software tools and applications.
- Manage GIS server equipment and network infrastructure; ensure performance, security, and reliability of geospatial systems.
- Automate tasks and workflows using custom scripts, primarily in Python; familiarity with C# and Java.
- Work with Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant applications and databases for discovery, analysis, and exploitation of geospatial data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support static and dynamic streaming geospatial data handling and analysis.
- Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- 8 years of progressive GIS server experience.
- Highly proficient in administering and deploying open-source and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) GIS server equipment.
- Strong ability to write custom scripts for automation and analysis using Python; knowledge of C# and Java.
- Expert working knowledge of geospatial data workflows and OGC-compliant applications and databases.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
