Role Overview & Project Scope

Client is seeking an experienced Success Factors Consultant within the IT HR domain for a long-term contract opportunity (12+ months) with our client, Volvo Group US.

Your primary focus will be on the Success Factors SaaS application, particularly the Benefits and Employee Central (EC) modules. You will function as the senior technical resource within an internal product team, acting as the main point of contact for business stakeholders regarding solution requirements. The ideal candidate will be autonomous and senior enough to proactively propose technical solutions rather than just taking configuration orders.

Module & Technical Focus

• Benefits (Highest Priority):
  Currently in the plan evaluation and configuration stage. You will support the Benefits implementation within the USA.
• Employee Central (Highest Priority):
  Implementation has already started. You must have a deep understanding of EC and know how to set up RBTs (Role-Based Tooling/Permissions).
• Secondary Modules:
  Onboarding and Compensation. (

  Recruiting is NOT required for this role).
• Skillsets to Avoid:
  The team is not looking for someone with a heavy focus on integration skills, as they already have a dedicated integration team. Strong core configuration skills are essential.

Team Dynamics & Critical Success Factors

• Collaboration:
  
  Composed of 3 internal teams with 3 Product Owners (an integration team, a foundational team, and a country-specific integration group). You will cross-collaborate with Digital Product Area Owners, Solution Architects, Digital Product Managers, key users, and development teams.
• Communication is Critical:
  Excellent communication and stakeholder management are the most vital soft skills for this role. You must be able to seamlessly interact and manage expectations across a global team spanning the US, Canada, India, and Poland.
• Independence:
  You must possess the autonomy to work independently, question requests when necessary, and thoroughly understand complex system dependencies.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the Benefits implementation within the USA.
• Work as the main point of contact for business stakeholders regarding solution requirements, encompassing both one-time and runtime deliveries in an application management context.
• Carry out the parameterization/configuration of the solution to meet business requirements.
• Facilitate change, ensuring the maintenance and correction of applications.
• Work closely with the Digital Product Area Owner, Digital Product Owner, Solution Architect, and Digital Product Manager to support and develop applications.
• Support the Digital Product Area Owner in identifying competence and development needs, enhancing team members' skills, and promoting knowledge sharing.
• Organize and lead knowledge transfer phases to build a collaborative and open team mindset.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience:
  
  5+ years of experience in Success Factors configuration with a very deep understanding of the Benefits and Employee Central (EC) modules (specifically knowing how to set up RBTs).
• Functional Expertise:
  Possess a strong understanding of HR processes and the ability to effectively translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Consultative Mindset:
  Proven ability to work independently, understand system dependencies, and proactively propose solutions to the business.
• Soft Skills:
  
  Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated experience leading workshops, managing stakeholder expectations, and thriving in a collaborative global environment.
