Technical Business Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a commercial, customer-facing digital product team. This role will work closely with Product Management and Engineering to rapidly build and refine a strong delivery backlog, with an immediate emphasis on authoring high-quality user stories and supporting sprint readiness.

The ideal candidate has experience working on products that go to market, understands how to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements, and is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, delivery-focused environment. This role is highly collaborative and visible, requiring strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a willingness to speak up.

This position supports a relatively new product team and newer product manager, making prior product and delivery experience especially valuable.

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on commercial or customer-facing products
• Strong ability to write clear, actionable user stories at scale
• Hands‑on experience working in Azure Dev Ops (ADO) (preferred over Jira)
• Experience partnering closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams
• Comfortable leading or participating in backlog grooming, refinement, and sprint planning
• Strong communication skills; able to ask questions, provide clarity, and collaborate effectively
• Reliable availability during core business hours and consistent meeting participation
• Technical Business Analyst background (e.g., understanding APIs, data flows, systems integrations)
• Prior experience helping shape product roadmaps or prioritization decisions
• Experience working with new or scaling product teams
• Background in Agile / Scrum environments supporting fast-paced delivery
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution
• Product‑minded BA who can bridge business needs and technical execution
