BEV Consultant – Siemens OpCenter

Roles and Responsibilities

• Configure, customize, and optimize Siemens OpCenter Discrete modules for manufacturing and quality requirements.
• Develop workflows, user interfaces, and data models within the OpCenter platform.
• Perform unit, integration, and system testing of MES functionality across project phases.
• Troubleshoot MES production issues and implement fixes and performance improvements.
• Monitor system performance and support enhancements during SOP ramp-up and stabilization.
• Provide Tier-3 support during production launch and post-go-live stabilization.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, logistics, and IT teams to align MES solutions with operational needs.
• Document configurations, development changes, and integration mappings.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Work with integration teams to ensure seamless MES-to-ERP and MES-to-PLC connectivity.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience implementing or supporting Siemens OpCenter MES (Discrete preferred).
• Strong experience with MES-to-ERP and MES-to-PLC integrations.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as JavaScript, C#, or Python.
• Experience with API integration and web services.
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid Agile-Waterfall delivery environments.

• Knowledge of Siemens OpCenter Foundation, Quality, or Logistics modules.
• Experience with Mendix low-code application development.
• Experience in automotive, EV, or battery manufacturing domains.
• Understanding of quality control and production control workflows in high-volume manufacturing
