Field Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Storage Implementation / Field Engineer to join a growing Professional Services team. In this customer-facing role, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, upgrading, and supporting enterprise storage environments for clients across a variety of industries. You'll partner with customer infrastructure teams to deliver storage implementations, migrations, upgrades, and optimization projects while ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and customer satisfaction.

This position is based in the greater metropolitan area and requires travel to customer sites throughout the region.

• Deploy, configure, and support enterprise storage infrastructure in customer environments.
• Perform hardware installations, controller upgrades, operating system upgrades, and storage migrations.
• Configure and optimize storage networking, including VLANs, logical interfaces, interface groups, MTU settings, and related networking components.
• Implement and support both NAS and SAN environments using protocols such as NFS, SMB/CIFS, Fibre Channel (FC), FCoE, and iSCSI.
• Perform storage health assessments, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system optimization.
• Execute cluster configurations, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation plans, and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, solution architects, and internal engineering teams throughout project delivery.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• 3+ years of experience implementing, supporting, or administering enterprise storage infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms and storage operating systems.
• Experience supporting SAN and NAS storage environments.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, and storage networking.
• Experience performing infrastructure implementations, upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and documentation skills.

• Industry certifications related to enterprise storage technologies.
• Experience with object storage, converged infrastructure, virtualization, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with VMware or other virtualization platforms.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Scripting or automation experience using Python, Power Shell, Bash, or similar technologies.
• Experience with REST APIs or infrastructure automation tools.

This position requires travel to customer sites throughout the assigned territory.
