Overview
System Administrator
- Engineering Computing supports the College of Engineering computing infrastructure, including desktop systems, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), IoT devices, and networking; maintains documentation; installs, tests, codes, debugs, and manages applications, servers, and infrastructure; collaborates with stakeholders to implement solutions that support the college's mission.
- Provide technical support for desktop systems, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), IoT devices, and networking infrastructure.
- Install, test, code, debug, and manage existing applications, servers, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions that support the college s mission.
- Maintain documentation related to systems and processes.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3 years of experience in a technical support role (Windows, Linux, and/or MacOS)
- Experience with IoT devices
- 5 years of experience in technical support in academic or commercial environment
- Experience with software development life cycles and project management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
On-site. Employees are primarily in the office and/or have a critical job requirement that requires dedicated office space on-site.
