Description of Work
We’re looking for a collaborative and motivated IT Business Systems Analyst who thrives on understanding business needs, translating them into actionable requirements, and partnering with stakeholders to create effective, user centered solutions. What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll support a wide range of strategic and technical initiatives, including:
- Conduct strategic and business analysis to help identify problems, evaluate opportunities, and recommend solutions grounded in data and user insights
- Partner with the Business Analysis team to gather requirements through interviews, workshops, site visits, and workflow analysis
- Support agency planning activities, business case analysis, and the development of comprehensive project analysis plans
- Participate in decision making processes by analyzing complex information, highlighting risks, and presenting clear, actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with vendors, project managers, developers, architects, and testing teams to ensure solutions align with business goals and follow the appropriate SDLC methodology
- Contribute to solution design, acceptance criteria, and testing to validate that deliverables meet user needs
- Assist in writing and refining requirements, building prototypes, and creating process models and diagrams
- Support agile practices by joining standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews, while helping maintain transparency and remove team impediments
- Help craft proposals, reports, and visuals to guide decisions and strengthen collaboration
- Support the delivery of training resources and help facilitate business analysis learning programs across other agencies
- Conduct research on current technology, vendors, and market landscapes to identify viable solution alternatives and provide evidence-based recommendations
