Education: High School Diploma Required;
Associate Degree/Technical Training Preferred
We are seeking a Junior Device Technician to support the inspection, configuration, troubleshooting, and preparation of mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones
. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, strong attention to detail, and an interest in learning hardware repair and device management.
An Associate degree in Electrical Technology or a related technical field and CompTIA A+ certification are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Load and configure operating systems, applications, and security software on tablets and smartphones.
- Support devices running iOS, Android, and Microsoft Windows
. - Inspect damaged or returned devices and perform basic diagnostic testing.
- Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting, repair, and corrective actions.
- Configure and test devices before deployment to customer locations.
- Use Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools to verify device configuration and clear device information.
- Maintain accurate records of device inspections, repairs, parts usage, and inventory.
- Organize and maintain hardware and replacement-part inventory.
- Assist with device preparation, testing, and problem resolution.
- Follow established technical procedures and complete assigned work within required timelines.
- Perform other technical and device-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of technical, repair, IT support, electronics, or hardware experience.
- Basic understanding of mobile devices and hardware components.
- Familiarity with iOS, Android, and Windows
. - Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn. - Ability to work effectively under the direction of senior technicians.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Associate Degree in Electrical Technology or related technical field.
- Technical school or electronics training.
- CompTIA A+ certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience with mobile phones, tablets, computers, consumer electronics, or hardware repair.
- Exposure to MDM platforms or device-management systems.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
