Kaiser Permanente seeks an IT Infrastructure Engineer IV to design, implement, and optimize highly available database infrastructure supporting mission-critical healthcare systems. You will architect secure, scalable database platforms, automate deployment and monitoring, and ensure performance, reliability, and compliance. Partnering with developers and security teams, you'll troubleshoot complex issues, manage backup and recovery, and drive continuous improvement in a collaborative, innovation-focused environment with strong growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, highly available database infrastructure for healthcare systems.
- Administer, monitor, and optimize SQL/No
- SQL databases for performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring of database and server infrastructure.
- Collaborate with application, security, and Dev
- Ops teams to support new and existing services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and database incidents and performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards for healthcare data.
- Document architectures, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to improve database reliability and efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and peers.
