Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Systems Administrator III to support and optimize critical health systems within our IT & Software environment. This role manages server and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance for clinical and business applications. You will perform system upgrades, automation, monitoring, and incident response while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Windows/Linux administration, scripting, virtualization, networking, and healthcare data security standards in a fast-paced enterprise setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers supporting health systems.
- Manage virtualization platforms and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Implement and monitor system security, access controls, and compliance with HIPAA.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and configuration management.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment and maintenance.
- Monitor system performance and resolve incidents and outages promptly.
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Collaborate with clinical, application, and network teams on projects and support.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in on-call rotation to support 24/7 healthcare operations.
