Overview
The Shipping Coordinator oversees and executes the end-to-end shipping and logistics processes for outbound and selected inbound operations, serving as the primary point of coordination for shipment planning, carrier scheduling, documentation accuracy, and process compliance. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and accurate delivery of all products while driving consistency, training, and continual improvement across shipping operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
May provide day-to-day direction, training, and workflow oversight to Shipping Clerks and warehouse support staff (non-direct supervisory role).
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all outbound shipments, including order prioritization, carrier selection, scheduling, and documentation.
- Serve as the central point of contact for shipping-related communication across Operations, Service, Sales, Customer Service, and external carriers; ensure all shipments (orders, RMAs, transfers, and project-related materials) are processed accurately and meet required deadlines; monitor shipment status, proactively resolve delays or discrepancies, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Review and validate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and international shipping paperwork; maintain compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations, including customs and hazardous materials requirements when applicable.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and control shipping costs.
- Support and coordinate inbound shipments as needed, including receiving, verification, and system updates.
- Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records in systems such as Net Suite, Intelli Track, and related ERP/WMS platforms.
- Lead shipping-related training efforts, including onboarding new team members and reinforcing SOP adherence across the team.
- Partner with Warehouse Manager to establish and enforce shipping SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocols; assist in inventory management activities, including cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies; coordinate ordering and management of shipping supplies, materials, and packaging standards; provide support for large‑scale or multi‑site deployment projects, ensuring logistics alignment and execution.
- Strong knowledge of shipping, logistics coordination, and warehouse operations.
- Experience managing outbound shipment processes, including carrier coordination and documentation.
- Working knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve shipping and logistics issues independently.
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., Net Suite, Intelli Track, or similar platforms).
- Effective communication and coordination skills across cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to train others and reinforce standardized processes.
- Experience in a high‑volume or multi‑site logistics environment.
- Exposure to project‑based shipping or deployment logistics.
- Familiarity with freight optimization and cost control strategies.
Warehouse and office environment at the main Greensboro location. Core business hours are generally 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; however, this position may require flexibility, including work outside of normal business hours, based on operational demands and shipment schedules.
Physical RequirementsPrimary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a warehouse and office setting, including communicating, seeing, and hearing to exchange information, and using a computer. Activities may include standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, as well as occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting. The employee may lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 25 pounds.
Repetitive hand movement for operating equipment and systems is required.
