- Serve as ART's primary field representative for assigned suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct routine on-site supplier visits to verify actual manufacturing progress against purchase-order and program commitment dates.
- Monitor and expedite critical, long-lead, and overdue orders.
- Develop and track recovery plans for delayed deliveries.
- Identify and escape schedule, quality, capacity, or material risks
- Work with supplier management to establish recovery plans, interim milestones, and firm shipment dates for delayed items.
- Follow open actions through closure and maintain consistent supplier accountability.
- Maintain accurate delivery forecasts and shipment readiness updates.
- Escalate issues and provide concise status reporting.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, production control, supplier management, program support, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of production scheduling, material flow, purchase orders, and bills of material.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, challenge status constructively, and elevate issues promptly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to travel frequently and visit supplier manufacturing facilities on short notice.
- Aerospace, aviation, aircraft interiors, or complex low-volume manufacturing experience.
- Previous experience as a supplier development representative, expeditor, buyer, production planner, manufacturing coordinator, or supply chain specialist.
- Experience supporting supplier recovery plans and critical shortage management.
- Improved on-time delivery performance for assigned suppliers.
- Reduction in overdue purchase orders and production shortages.
- Accurate supplier completion, shipment, and arrival forecasts.
- Timely escalation and resolution of supplier risks.
- Consistent documentation of supplier visits, commitments, and recovery actions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed at ART and supplier office and manufacturing locations. The position requires frequent travel, walking through production areas, use of standard office equipment, and compliance with applicable site safety and personal protective equipment requirements. The individual may occasionally be required to lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
