Position Title
Temporary Floor Technician - Student Center
Primary Purpose of PositionThe primary purpose of this position is to ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of all floor surfaces. This includes not only sweeping, cleaning, and vacuuming carpet, but also mopping, buffing, polishing, and/or waxing hard floors. This position provides great customer service in general to visitors and strives to accomplish the mission, goals and objectives of the Department while sustaining a relaxing and wholesome atmosphere that is welcoming.
PrimaryFunction of Organizational Unit
The Student Center serves as the principal site for student programming and offers office accommodations for Student Leadership, the University Event Center, Aggie One-Card, Barnes & Nobles bookstore and other units. In addition, it offers an array of services, conveniences and amenities for students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests.
Key Responsibilities• Perform floor maintenance tasks, including sweeping, cleaning, vacuuming carpet, mopping, buffing, polishing, and waxing hard floors.
• Provide courteous customer service to visitors.
• Maintain a relaxing and wholesome atmosphere that is welcoming.
25 hours a week:
Sunday thru Thursday 12am - 5am

- 2+ years of proven experience in floor maintenance and cleaning or a similar role.
- High School Diploma or GED.
