Job Summary:

The Quality Technician I will perform dimensional inspection of precision components using both tactile (CMM) and optical (non‑contact) technologies. This role is hands‑on, execution focused, ensuring that manufactured and prototype parts conform to design intent. The position is ideal for a technician with foundational metrology experience who is eager to grow their capability within a world‑class motor sport environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out part inspection using tactile CMMs, optical scanners, and other metrology equipment.
  • Run pre‑written CMM and optical programs, following established work instructions and setups.
  • Accurately follow inspection plans and record results against CAD models and drawings.
  • Support day‑to‑day inspection of production, prototype, and R&D components.
  • Prepare basic inspection reports and maintain quality records.
  • Perform calibration checks, basic troubleshooting, and care of metrology equipment.
  • Work under guidance from Metrology Engineers and Leads to build skills in inspection strategy and analysis.
Required Qualifications
  • Apprenticeship, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in precision manufacturing, machining, or quality.
  • Hands‑on exposure to metrology tools such as tactile CMMs, vision systems, or handheld instruments.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Good problem‑solving, attention to detail, and ability to follow structured processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in motor sport, aerospace, or other precision industries.
  • Exposure to CMM or optical scanning software.
  • Basic understanding of quality systems and inspection documentation.
