Machine Set-Up Operator

Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking Machine Set-Up Operators for our client in Greensboro.
Ideal candidates will have at least 2-3 years of recent experience in a manufacturing environment and a background using precision measurement tools.

• Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary.
• Use hand tools and measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to perform quality control checks on finished parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Inspect products to ensure that specifications are met and to determine if machines need adjustment.
• Perform a wide variety of assembly and sub-assembly per customer orders.
• Record information about work completed and machine settings.

• Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar role preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven record of good attendance.
• Capable of reading and understanding work instructions, blueprints and safety documents.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks using measuring instruments such as calipers.
• Physically capable of manual lifting that includes bending and reaching. Ability to lift 50 pounds (for short bursts).
