The Product Change Coordinator Assistant supports the implementation and maintenance of product changes throughout the product lifecycle. This role serves as a key point of coordination between Product Development, Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality, Customer Service, Warehouse, Shipping, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure product information, artwork, labeling, and manufacturing data remains accurate and up to date.
Responsibilities- Create and maintain part numbers, bill of materials (BOMs) and related data within D365 ERP system and MS Dynamics/Axapta.
- Implement and manage product changes, including packaging updates, country‑of‑origin updates, cost savings initiatives, quality improvements, and manufacturing process changes.
- Audit and maintain BOM accuracy to ensure data integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support internal teams in resolving issues related to BOMs, product configurations, manufacturing data, and product change implementations.
- Create and maintain manufacturing routes and production data within D365 for manufactured products.
- Enter and maintain product costing information.
- Review and update product weights, dimensions, pallet quantities, and some shipping specifications.
- Maintain UPC, product labeling and shipping labels for domestic/international manufacturing facilities.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure product changes are communicated and implemented effectively.
- Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records supporting product changes and manufacturing requirements.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree. - 1–3 years’ experience in product development.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Great attention to detail, high level of initiative, and ability to work independently.
- Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others with strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Understanding of a manufacturing environment, knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, and familiarity with Bill of Material structure.
- Comfortable working in an environment where priorities shift and situations may require judgment beyond established procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude is a plus.
