About the RoleGoshen Engineering is seeking a hands-on Skid Assembly Supervisor to directly supervise the assigned Skid Assembly team within Production and support the safe, efficient, and quality-focused assembly of skids and integrated electrical equipment and systems. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role leads Electrical Assembly Technician I-III employees and designated Leads, plans and prioritizes work, monitors production and quality, develops employees, and coordinates with Engineering, Quality, Materials, Control Wiring, and other teams to resolve issues and support delivery requirements.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Directly supervise and coordinate the work of Electrical Assembly Technician I-III employees and designated Leads within Skid Assembly.
- Review production orders, schedules, drawings, and material requirements to plan and prioritize skid assembly work, establishing work sequences that support production, quality, and delivery expectations.
- Monitor skid assembly work for workmanship, fit, alignment, component installation, and compliance with approved drawings, work instructions, and production requirements.
- Ensure required quality checks and production records are completed and address defects, deviations, rework, or missing information identified during assembly.
- Coordinate with Production Management, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Control Wiring, and other functions regarding production needs, materials, drawings, changes, and technical issues affecting skid assembly.
- Monitor production progress, productivity, labor allocation, and workflow; identify delays, bottlenecks, or resource needs and take appropriate action or elevate as needed.
- Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, training, feedback, and performance support and help employees progress through the Electrical Assembly Technician I-III and Lead structure.
- Maintain required production, quality, labor, and work records and applicable business systems.
- Reinforce safe work practices, housekeeping, quality standards, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout Skid Assembly.
- Coordinate availability of required drawings, materials, tools, equipment, and other resources needed to support scheduled skid assembly work.
