At Allen Industries , great work does not stop when production is complete. It takes a dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to make sure every sign is properly packaged, documented, loaded, and ready to reach the customer.

We are looking for someone who is organized, safety-minded, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in keeping things moving, and know your way around shipping, receiving, and material-handling equipment, we would love to meet you.

As our Shipping & Receiving Clerk , you will help coordinate the final steps of production and ensure incoming and outgoing materials are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.

• Prepare packing lists, Bills of Lading, and shipping documents
• Organize and maintain shipping and receiving records
• Complete shipment transactions and upload BOL documentation
• Package and crate signs for safe shipment
• Use a nail gun and chop saw to build shipping crates
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift
• Track and organize finished goods in the yard
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient dock area
• Support receiving functions and the movement of materials
• Coordinate with production to help keep orders moving on schedule
• Safely operate applicable hand tools, shop equipment, and material-handling equipment
• Inspect work using measuring tapes, rulers, and squares
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Follow all company safety procedures and immediately report safety concerns

The position may also use equipment such as metal shears, metal brakes, radial saws, an ironworker, torches, plasma torches, and overhead cranes.

• Shipping, receiving, packing, crating, construction, or related experience preferred
• Forklift experience or certification preferred
• Knowledge of packing and crating procedures
• Basic carpentry and mechanical skills
• Ability to safely use hand, electric, and pneumatic tools
• Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure

This is an active, safety-sensitive manufacturing position. Candidates must be able to:

• Stand and move throughout the workday
• Bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, push, pull, and reach overhead
• Lift up to 70 pounds and participate in team lifts of up to 100 pounds
• Frequently carry and use power tools and other materials
• Work around moving equipment, airborne particles, vibration, and loud noise
• Wear required hearing protection, safety eyewear, and other assigned PPE

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Overtime as required
• Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary based on production needs
